Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, under extreme military pressure from the US, is trying frantically to project an image of control and strength.

But by overdoing it, he reveals his fear.

A day after the tyrant of Caracas accused the US of fabricating footage of the drug boat destruction strike by using artificial intelligence, he did a U-turn and strenuously denounced the ‘extrajudicial execution of 11 people on a Venezuelan boat.’

And the pressure keeps increasing: in Saturday, it was reported that US Marines and Navy sailors are carrying out amphibious landing exercises in Puerto Rico.

And today, it arises that Maduro vows to mobilize 25,000 troops to ‘combat drug traffickers’.

Reuters reported:

“Venezuela pledged on Sunday to sharply boost troops in coastal states to tackle drug trafficking – a move that comes after the U.S. ordered the deployment of an additional 10 fighter jets to Puerto Rico to carry out operations against drug cartels.”

“Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has ordered more troops in the Guajira region of Zulia state and the Paraguana peninsula in Falcon, Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino said, adding that the area constituted “a drug trafficking route”.

[…] ‘No one is going to come and do the work for us. No one is going to step on this land and do what we’re supposed to do’, Padrino said in a video uploaded to social media.”
