St. Maximinus of Trier was born in the late 3rd century and became Bishop of Trier around 332 AD. Maximinus offered strong support to exiled orthodox bishops, including St. Athanasius of Alexandria, famously providing him refuge when few others would. Known for his hospitality, courage, and leadership, St. Maximinus helped guide the Church through one of its most difficult early periods. He died in 346 AD, revered as a courageous shepherd who defended the truth without compromise.
