Dozens of union members surrounded Cake Minuesa, a reporter from OKDIARIO, and assaulted him during the May Day (1M) demonstration. The few protesters who attended the march in Madrid joined the instigation led by a handful of agitators to force him out of the rally.
The disgraceful incident took place on Madrid’s Gran Vía, where a unionist with a megaphone pressed the device to the reporter’s ear while shouting: “Get out, fascists, off our streets!”
In a scene filled with CCOO and republican flags, Cake Minuesa pointed out how the union members called on their comrades to attack him “as a group,” taking clear advantage over the reporter.
