While it is all likely wishful thinking, radical Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) gave conservatives a bit of hope that they might be rid of her soon as the House considers taking action against her for comments she made following Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that during an interview with former MSNBC propagandist and Zeteo founder Mehdi Hasan, Omar mocked Kirk, saying he got precisely what he deserved for simply expressing politically incorrect views.

She also accused others of lying for saying Kirk wanted civil discourse.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) responded by filing a resolution to strip Omar of all her committee assignments following the sick remarks, as TGP’s Jim Hoft reported.

“Ilhan Omar has shown us exactly who she is: she defends political violence and refuses to condemn the loss of innocent lives when it doesn’t suit her agenda, even the cold-blooded assassination of Charlie Kirk, Mace wrote on X. “It’s dangerous, disgraceful, and beneath the United States Congress. She must be stripped of every committee assignment. No excuses.”

On Wednesday, Omar revealed to Mace during a Twitter fight that she would be traveling to Somalia soon. She did not specify a reason for her trip.

“I am going soon, so please drop off the tickets on your way to the office,” she wrote to Mace, who offered her a one-way ticket back. “I am next door. Thanks in advance.”

Naturally, this announcement was met with glee from conservatives, with many hoping it was a permanent vacation.

Others expressed hope that the Trump Administration would take the opportunity to revoke Omar’s citizenship.
