Pardoned J6 Hostage Suffers Stroke, Remains Optimistic, Needs Help Covering Medical Expenses | The Gateway Pundit

I received an exciting phone call from January 6er Andrew Johnson two weeks ago. He and his fellow J6er, Mitchell “Todd” Gardner, had become roommates and had started a business together. It was great timing because I had been wanting to tell The Gateway Pundit readers a positive and heartwarming story about the J6ers. Andrew and I set up a time to do an interview for my podcast that would be posted in the story.

The Sunday we were to do the interview came and went with no returned calls or texts from Andrew or Todd. I was worried, but chalked it up to all sorts of things that could’ve happened. On Monday, I received a call from Andrew. Todd was in the hospital. He was taken to the hospital by paramedics on Sunday after the loss of feeling on his entire right side. This was NOT one of the many excuses that came to my mind.

Once at the hospital, the doctors told Todd he had suffered a stroke. They also found blood clots that caused his body to have a stroke. One of Todd’s doctors asked if he had received the COVID-19 shot, and he let them know, yes, he did.

My first thought when I heard this was that he received the shot while he was in the DC Gulag, being held prisoner for January 6th. I had reports that while the J6ers were in solitary and without visitation, the jail’s employees tried to coerce the J6ers to take the “Jab”. They were told if they took the experimental mRNA gene therapy shot, then they would receive visitation, Chaplain visits, haircuts, and 10 hours of rec. This has been confirmed to me by several J6 prisoners, but whether any of them took the COVID-19 bio-weapon is not confirmed. No one received any of these so-called perks that the jail personnel promised, and therefore, we don’t know if some took it and believed the jail would follow through with what became empty promises.

What we do know is that Gardner took the COVID shot very early on, before January 6th, due to his work. Being in sales, he wanted to make sure he could still deal with his clients, continue business, and keep his livelihood.

Gardner isn’t sure if the shot has anything to do with his current condition, and the doctors never stated that either. He just wants to focus on getting well and moving on to a better life.

Todd wrote some about his experience last week…

“I woke up last Sunday morning and the entire right half of my body was numb. I went to the hospital and learned I had multiple blood clots which caused a stroke.

Because of this I’ll have to put my business aspersions on hold. All my family is in Ohio, so I have no one in Florida to help me. My mom flew down to Florida this morning and is driving us backward to Ohio now. I’ll be staying with her for a month or two while I go through rehabilitation.

I have $700 a month due in child support and then the average cost of food for an adult. My mom won’t be charging me rent, which I am very thankful for. I also will be applying for government assistance while not working to help cover the cost of the prescription for the stroke. The medicine “ELIQUIS” is $500 per month until I can eventually get it covered through the assistance.”

When I spoke to Todd today, he said, “Jenn, will you please let people know how grateful I am for their support, and I am especially grateful to President Trump for the pardon he gave us.” He continued, “Being home with family while going through this is much better than dealing with it in prison. Prison made me think about what really is important in life, but this health scare has really moved me to never forget how precious my kids, my family and friends are to me.”

When I asked him what the future looks like, he said he is going to heal not just from this but the trauma of prison. He also wants to get back to work as soon as possible, so he will be working very hard on his therapy prescribed by the doctors.

Although this story is not the warm fuzzy J6er story I was hoping to write for you, it is one that gives me hope. I know that Mitchell “Todd” Gardner will try his hardest to get well and get back to living a life that he does not want to take for granted. We discussed how God always has a plan and His plan for Todd seems to be a simple but important one for right now… Heal his Body, Mind and Soul.

I am excited to see where Todd’s recovery takes him, and I can’t wait to write the story that shares all the good about where he lands after he heals.
