Joe Biden’s wife and lead handler has a new gig months after departing the White House in disgrace. In a twist, she will be staying in the Swamp.
The Milken Institute announced in a press release last Tuesday that it was launching a new “Women’s Health Network” to “collate, elevate, and advance existing and new efforts across the women’s health ecosystem.” The organization also announced that Jill Biden will chair the new initiative.
“The Milken Institute is grateful for Dr. Biden’s leadership during her tenure in the White House and her steadfast commitment to championing investment in women’s health. We are so pleased she will join us as we launch and grow the Women’s Health Network,” said Esther Krofah, Executive Vice President, Milken Institute Health.
“Data shows that women’s health faces persistent underinvestment in research and innovation across many disease conditions that affect women uniquely, differently, or disproportionately. However, we know progress is possible and it can be achieved through partnerships in the Network that can transform women’s health and well-being for years to come,” she added.
Jill said that she was “honored” to take on the new role.
“From endometriosis to healthy aging, the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research made important investments in research and development, while making clear it will take collaboration across industries to bring these innovations to scale,” Jill bragged. “I am honored to join the Milken Institute as we unite leaders around a shared mission: for women everywhere to benefit from the lifesaving, world-changing research we know is possible.”
While occupying the White House with her husband, Jill Biden taught English and writing courses at Northern Virginia Community College. She resigned from the position last December.
Founded by Michael Milken in the early 1990s, The Milken Institute claims in its mission statement that it’s primary goal is “accelerating measurable progress on the path to a meaningful life” while focusing on “financial, physical, mental, and environmental health.”
“We bring together the best ideas and innovative resourcing to develop blueprints for tackling some of our most critical global issues through the lens of what’s pressing now and what’s coming next,” the mission statement adds.
The organization claims to be non-partisan, but The Daily Caller notes that the organization has endorsed a variety of leftist policies, including consumption taxes and bigger government.
Michael Milken also has a sordid history. He was previously sentenced to 10 years in prison in 1990 after pleading guilty to several counts of securities violations, but only ended up serving 22 months of his sentence.
President Trump pardoned him for securities fraud in 2020.
