Thursday on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” co-host Steve Doocy revealed to viewers he was giving up his long-time in-studio co-hosting duties.
Doocy first joined the Fox News Channel in 199,6 and in 1998, he took the co-hosting role at “Fox & Friends.”
Doocy told viewers that while he would not be on the “curvy couch,” he would still maintain a role on the network’s morning show.
The news, initially reported by Mediaite, described his future duties as a “new role.”
“For nearly 30 years, Steve has been a force on the curvy couch with his signature smile and wit,” FOX News Media’s executive vice president of morning programming and program development Megan Albano said in a statement. “His relationship with our audience is unmatched and we are looking forward to him taking his trademark style from the couch to cities across America’s heartland where he will co-host from diners to pickleball courts and more and finally not have to drive across the George Washington Bridge at 3:30am every morning.”
