Charlie Kirk’s Wife Erika Shares One of His Favorite Bible Verses

Mrs. Erika Kirk, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s beloved wife, shared one of her husband’s favorite Bible verses while addressing the nation on Friday evening.

Erika Kirk said, “Charlie always believed that God’s design for marriage and the family was absolutely amazing, and it is, it is, and it was the greatest joy of his life. Over and over, he would tell all these young people to come and find their future spouse, become wives and husbands, and parents. And the reason why is because he wanted you all to experience what he had and still has.”

“He wanted everyone to bring heaven into this earth through love and joy that comes from raising a family. It’s beautiful,” Erika said, adding that her husband told her if he ever ran for office, his main priority would be to revive the American family.

“One of Charlie’s favorite Bible verses was Ephesians 5:25. ‘Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.’ My husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, for our children. He showed the ultimate and true covenantal love,” she stated:

Kirk was fatally shot on Wednesday during a speaking event at Utah Valley University, and his alleged assassin was later found and identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, according to Breitbart News.

In a statement following his death, Kirk’s pastor and friend, Rob McCoy, said in part that “His life was secured eternally by His Savior Jesus Christ. This truth allowed Charlie to face every threat with courage because he didn’t fear death. All evil knows is death and they derive power from death. Charlie lived for life and will be remembered for this.”

Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in California was also a close friend of Kirk’s. He said this week, “I have had the honor of knowing Charlie Kirk well and personally for many years now. I cannot express how incredibly proud I have been of his faithful Christian witness and the way he has honored the Lord Jesus Christ with his life.

“Charlie was known as an intellectual giant, a very compassionate young man, and one who was tirelessly devoted to this nation’s welfare and our glorious republic. I am humbled and blessed to have played a small role in Charlie’s discipleship, and I know nothing was more important to Charlie than knowing Jesus Christ,” he added.
